We understand that raising a baby is a big responsibility that comes with lots of questions as well as a financial obligation. We have our “Earn While You Learn” program to help parents in both of these areas. When you enroll in the program, you will be offered classes covering many prenatal and parenting topics. Your enrollment and participation in class will be rewarded with “Mommy Money” that can be spent in our on-site baby boutique. Find out more about class topics and the boutique below.
EARN WHILE YOU LEARN CLASSES
Classes are split into pregnancy and parenting time frames. We offer a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester prenatal class as well as 0-3 months, 4-6 months, 7-12 months, and 13-24 months parenting classes. We also offer an evening class for teen moms as well as a Purpose Driven Life study class. (There are also classes available for Spanish speaking clients. Please call for more information.)
Topics covered in these classes include: prenatal care, nutrition, newborn care, reducing the risk of SIDS, safe and healthy environment, illnesses, car seat safety, breast feeding basics, postpartum, toilet training, and much more. You will also be able to discuss these topics with other moms who are attending class with you. Classes are typically an hour in length.
Fathers of the baby are allowed to attend classes. However, they must be accompanied by the mother.
MOMMY MONEY
By participating in the “Earn While You Learn” program, you will be rewarded with “Mommy Money”. There are several ways to earn including enrollment, class attendance, prenatal check-ups, homework completion, and church attendance. Fathers of the baby may earn “Mommy Money” through their participation as well.
You can then spend your hard earned reward in our on-site baby boutique. It is stocked with all baby essentials to help you prepare for baby’s arrival and carry you through their first 2 years. Boutique items include: diapers, wipes, toiletries, blankets, clothes, formula, bottles, baby food, and more. All items are provided through donation, but they are pre-screened to ensure they are quality items that will provide well for your baby.
